Over the past few days we have played host to the Link Dental Van, offering another new service to our school community. Parents/guardians of more than 100 students have taken up this great opportunity to organise a free dental check-up for their children. Getting onto issues of oral hygiene early can make a substantial difference for children and reduce the need for dental work later on. When needed, referrals can be made for low-cost dental work for any students who need it, so it’s a very convenient and timely service for our families. The dental Van is a purpose-built vehicle and has an impressive set up. We look forward to hosting the ‘Link Dental Van’ on an annual basis, which also complements the annual visit by our school nurse. Healthy kids learn best, so it’s just another way we are supporting our students to live up to our school motto, ‘Our Best Always.’
